MAINTAIN seminar on Riftia pachyptila genome

After many zoom meetings and online seminars we were finally able to meet in person again! With the attendees all tested and masked, André Luiz de Oliveira told us about the genome of the giant tube worm, Riftia pachyptila. Considering their symbiosis background it was no surprise that the audience members were particularly interested in Riftia’s adaptations to its symbiotic relationship with sulfur-oxidizing bacteria. It was great to discuss science face-to-face again and hopefully we can keep on having such events.
